At the first annual Nonni’s Family day today in Concord NH Nonni’s Italian Eatery has set the worlds record for the largest meatball ever made! The world record breaking Meatball was 222.5 lbs! That breaks the previous world record by 25 lbs!!!!!
Nonni's Italian Eatery operates three locations throughout NH: Hillsboro, Concord and New London. Chef-Owner Mathew Mitnitsky, a native New Yorker, attended the Culinary Institute of America and later became Executive Chef for Hyatt International. His career with Hyatt spanned ten years and included travel to Greece, Belgrade, France and Japan. After moving to NH, Mathew began introducing his unique food and beverage concepts, recallling the Italian immigrants who came to America in the early 1900's passing through Ellis Island, bringing with them all the recipes from the old country. This concept of hertiage recipes and using local ingredients became the foundation for Nonni's and embodies the Nonni's slogan "Food Just Like Mama Used to Make".
