David Becker an executive chef with 15 years of experinece and his sister Diane Downing realized a lifetime dream when they opened the Firefly American Bistro & Bar in December 2008. Firefly embraces the concept of comfort dining by offering inspired classic American fare in a warm, inviting atmosphere.
The menu is a reverent celebration of the American culinary tradition. It was carefully crafted to appeal to a broad segment of a growing, healthy market. It features classics, prepared exactly as they should be, and artistic dishes modestly described in an unintimidating fashion. It reaches out to two types of diners: The Traditionalist will appreciate the Fish and Chips, Meatloaf or Prime Rib; while the more Adventurous diner will be enticed by such items as a Porcini Encrusted Veal Chop, Grilled Vegetable Napolean, or the Mirin-Glazed Tuna.
